A new infrastructure in Friuli Venezia Giulia
The intervention consists in the construction of a new road infrastructure that connects the regional axis 464 “di Spilimbergo” to the regional 463, by-passing the town of Dignano. The link road is 1.2 kilometers long, starting from a roundabout at the basis of the current regional 464 near the final stretch of the bridge crossing the Tagliamento river and, passing south of the town of Dignano and north of the hamlet di Bonzicco, joins the regional 463 with a new roundabout. In the central part, the one that comes closest to the town, the by-pass consists in an artificial tunnel 452.70 meters long and equipped with LED lighting powered by a dedicated photovoltaic system. The road, built on an embankment with a maximum height of 7.50 meters and equipped with a cliff to defend the escarpment from any flood by the Tagliamento river, is a total of 10.50 meters wide and also equipped with some side emergency areas. The total amount of the works, which required a wide authorizative panel by 21 public institutions, outcame in a 22.6 million euros investment, 15.3 million of which strictly for works, for safety costs and for the executive project, and 7.3 million euros for other related costs.
